Great experience dealing with the team at Granny Flats Australia and would highly recommend! I was not able to be in Australia during this whole process which should have made it more difficult, but I had complete confidence when communicating with the team via phone, email and whatsapp. I was promptly informed at each stage, and shared photos of progress. Upon completion, my family inspected the Granny Flat on my behalf and I am informed it looks great and of high build quality! Overall, I am extremely happy with the process and outcome and would definitely recommend their services.
A big thank you to the Granny Flats Australia team. We are very happy that we chose them for our project. Some things that could have been done better: response time for questions about material selections, knowledge about passive solar design, high performance windows and low VOC paints, setting expectations for when the project would begin and communication around the timeline of milestones. Some things that were awesome: initial meeting at showroom to discuss project, creation of initial quote, friendliness and responsiveness of reception staff, friendliness of all workmen and staff on site, cleanliness of site, responsiveness of external and internal construction managers, and the actual end product/workmanship. The team were also helpful with aspects of the job that were related to our project, but not their responsibility, such council contributions, tree removal and damage to our property caused by the skip bin operator. Some things that the pre-construction team could start doing: advise clients on passive solar design and high performing materials that promote a low energy footprint. If we ever decide to build another one, then I would absolutely consider using them again and will recommend them to our family and friends.
